Looking back on 2024: Growth, Resilience and Innovation at The Booth Group

A message from John Nicholas, CEO, At The Booth Group

As 2024 draws to a close, I’m proud to reflect on a year that has been nothing short of transformative for The Booth Group. It’s been a year filled with both challenges and triumphs, but through it all, one thing has remained constant: the unwavering dedication of our people. They continue to amaze me with their creative approaches to solving complex land solutions, and for that, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks.

This year has underscored our potential as a group, and we’re ready to build on this momentum. We know what we can achieve, and as we head into 2025, we’re determined to share our story more broadly and boldly. Transparency and sustainability have also been at the forefront of our priorities, and we’ve made significant strides in these areas.

A Focus on Sustainability

One of our key initiatives will be to understand our carbon footprint. In 2024, we laid the groundwork for a pilot tracking system and dashboard that will provide real-time insights into our emissions. This data-driven approach will enable us to make strategic decisions aimed at meaningful reductions, reinforcing our commitment to sustainability. We will be sharing more news and insights in the future.

Updates Across the Group

Booth Ventures

Booth Ventures has navigated the challenges of this year—including difficult weather conditions—with resilience and determination. As we look to 2025, we’re excited about the engineering and restoration projects that are set to begin. We can’t wait to share more about these initiatives in due course.

GMAT

Despite facing tough market conditions, the GMAT team has shown incredible fortitude. Their hard work has paid off, with the business ending 2024 on a high note, achieving record numbers these past few months. This accomplishment speaks volumes about their dedication and adaptability, always finding solutions for our customers every day.

Booth Golf & Leisure

Booth Golf & Leisure has had a standout year, completing numerous projects to rave reviews. The momentum continues to build, with even more exciting developments planned for 2025. The growth and success in this division reflects the passion and expertise of our team.

Strengthening Leadership

This year, we’ve also expanded and strengthened our senior leadership team. I’m thrilled to celebrate the promotions from within the group of Louise Sleightholme, now our operations Director, and Rob Bristow, our new Golf & Leisure Director. Both have shown exceptional leadership and dedication, and their new roles are well deserved.

Additionally, we welcomed Hannah Haeffner as our Innovation & Sustainability Director. Hannah’s expertise will be instrumental in advancing our environmental initiatives and ensuring we remain at the forefront of sustainable solutions—an area of increasing importance to our group.

A Word of Thanks

None of this would be possible without the unwavering support of our suppliers and partners. While we pride ourselves on being experts in our disciplines, your collaboration bridges gaps and enhances our capabilities. Together, we’ve achieved great things in 2024, and I’m excited for what lies ahead.

Looking Ahead to 2025

As we turn our focus to 2025, we’re excited about the many projects in the pipeline. These initiatives will underscore our commitment to delivering creative and sustainable land solutions for people and the planet. The coming year promises to be another step forward in our journey of growth and impact.

Holiday Closure and Well Wishes

The Booth Group will close for the holidays on Friday, 20th December, and reopen on Thursday, 2nd January 2025. On behalf of everyone at The Booth Group, I wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. May the season bring joy and warmth to you and your loved ones.
